     On August 10, 2025, Ms. Somjai Taphaopong, Consul General of the Royal Thai Consulate General in New York, along with officials and staff, presided over the ceremony to celebrate the auspicious occasion of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother's Birthday, August 12, 2025 which organized by Thai communities and temples in New York and other states under the Consulate General’s jurisdiction at Wat Pa Budda Thai Thavorn Albany of New York and planting of a maple tree tributed to the auspicious occasion of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother’s Birthday.
 
     On this occasion, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in New York organized volunteer initiatives by providing refreshments and snacks to approximately 300 Thai and international Buddhists and local guests joining the celebration ceremony of the Triratna Buddhayanarangsi Stupa and the 10th anniversary of Wat Pa Budda Thai Thavorn Albany of New York, whereby, twenty-six monks from various temples throughout the Consulate's jurisdiction were invited to attend the ceremony.
 
     The Royal Thai Consulate General in New York is delighted to participate in such events and activities by promoting and supporting Thai communities abroad, which demonstrate loyalty to the Monarchy, represent the image of the Thai communities, foster unity among Thai communities. Furthermore, this also contributes to continued support of Buddhism.
