On April 26, 2024, Consul General Somjai Taphaopong, together with Executive Director Nitaya Kanokmongkol, Office of the National Museums, Fine Arts Department of Thailand, and the Consulate’s officials, paid a courtesy call on Colonel Matthew Bogdanos, Chief of the Antiquities Trafficking Unit, New York County District Attorney’s Office. Both sides discussed and exchanged views on ways to enhance the cooperation between Thai authorities and the District Attorney Office in the repatriation of trafficked Thai antiquities.
