On February 6, 2024, Consul General Somjai Taphaopong, accompanied by Consul Katesuda Thongna and Mr. Threeracht Songtachalert, Honorary Vice Consul in Boston, engaged in a productive discussion with Professor Jay K. Rosengard, Director of the Thai Studies Program at Harvard University, and Ms. Kalyarat Tutrone, Teaching Assistant in Thai Language at the Department of South Asian Studies.
Both parties exchanged views on potential collaborative opportunities to support the Thai Studies curriculum, as well as Thai language classes at Harvard University, with the aim of enhancing the University's active role as a platform for disseminating knowledge about Thailand, the Thai language, and Thai culture within the academic and educational realms of the United States.
