For the year 2025, His Majesty the King graciously bestowed the Royal Kathina Robes upon the following laypersons and families to be presented at the respective temples:
• Ms. Aorporn Witayapreecha-anan, Ms. Wilawan Anant Wong, Mr. Preet Singh and family at Wat Prodketchettharam America, New York
• Ms. Porntip Cherdchai and family at Vajiradhammapadip Temple, New York
• Ms. Sayomphorn Siwara at Buddha Thai Thavornvanaram Temple, New York
• Mr. Suchai and Mrs. Saipin Chutima and family at Nawamintararachutis Temple, Massachusetts
The Royal Thai Consulate-General in New York, led by Consul General Somjai Taphaopong, together with officials of the Consulate-General and representatives from Team Thailand agencies in New York, attended the Royal Kathina Ceremonies at four temples within the Consulate’s jurisdiction.
On these occasions, the Consul General and Team Thailand representatives joined the local Thai communities in merit-making activities, including offering food and requisites to the monks with deep gratitude for His Majesty’s benevolence and continued patronage of Buddhism abroad. The events also reflected the unity, devotion, and enduring ties of the Thai community overseas to the nation, religion, and monarchy.
In addtion, on the occasion of attending the Royal Kathina Ceremony at Buddha Thai Thavornvanaram Temple on October 26, 2025, Consul General led Thai communities paying their respects and express their condolences to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother in deep remembrance of Her Majesty’s boundless grace and benevolence.
