On 16 November 2025, Ms. Somjai Taphaopong, Consul General of Thailand in New York, was invited to attend a memorial service in honor of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother. The ceremony was organized by the Thai Community Mahapawn Alliance Church in collaboration with the Thai Christian community in New York and was held at the Thai Community Mahapawn Alliance Church. On this occasion, the Consul General delivered heartfelt messages, to pay tribute in remembrance of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother.

     The ceremony included hymns of tribute, Scripture readings from John 14:1–4, 6, and reflections on Her Majesty’s life, contributions, and benevolence. Ms. Sujitra Paliwong, President of the Thai Cultural Center of New York State, also delivered a condolence message on behalf of Thai Communities in New York. Thai community members from New York and nearby states within the Consulate’s jurisdiction attended the service in unity, expressing profound gratitude and remembrance of Her Majesty’s boundless grace and compassion.
