On November 9, 2025, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in New York organized a volunteer community service activity and helped prepare the venue at Wat Buddha Thai Thavorn Vanaram, New York, in honor of the 100th Anniversary of the Passing of His Majesty King Vajiravudh (King Rama VI) on November 25, 2025, and the 100th Anniversary of the Birth of Her Royal Highness Princess Petcharat Rajsuda Sirisobhabannavadi, the Princess Mother of Nakhon Pathom, on November 24, 2025.

Ms. Somjai Taphaopong, Consul General of Thailand in New York, led officials and staff of the Consulate-General and Team Thailand agencies in a volunteer effort to clean and arrange the temple grounds in preparation for the merit-making ceremony in dedication to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother. The activity also served as an expression of gratitude and remembrance for the boundless benevolence of the Thai Monarchs, while promoting the royal initiative “Doing Good Deeds with Our Hearts” through collective volunteer spirit for the benefit of the community.
