On 29 July 2023, the Thai community organized a warm welcome reception for Consul General Somjai Taphaopong, who recently assumed duties in New York. The event, led by

     Mrs. Suchitra Paleewong, President of the Thai Cultural Center of New York, was co-organized by various associations and clubs of the Thai community.

     At the beginning, the event was also graced by Phra Sutham's blessings for a good start and a peaceful life for Consul General Somjai and all attendees.
