     On Sunday, November 9, 2025, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in New York, in collaboration with Wat Buddha Thai Thavorn Vanaram and members of the Thai community in New York and other states under the Consulate’s jurisdiction, organized a Merit-Making Ceremony in dedication to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother at Wat Buddha Thai Thavorn Vanaram, New York.
 
     The ceremony was presided over by Ms. Somjai Taphaopong, Consul General of Thailand in New York, who led officials and staff of the Consulate-General, Team Thailand agencies, and more than 150 members of the Thai community in observing a 93-second moment of silence to pay tribute and express their heartfelt remembrance of Her Majesty’s boundless benevolence. Participants also offered lunch and necessities to the monks as part of the merit-making.
 
     The monastic ceremony was led by the Abbot of Wat Dhammaram, Ontario, Canada, along with eight monks, who chanted Buddhist prayers in dedication to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, honoring Her Majesty’s lifelong compassion, devotion, and immeasurable grace.
