Uniting the Support of Thais Abroad to Assist People Affected by Flooding in Northern Thailand

On September 28, 2024, Miss Somjai Taphaopong, Consul General of Thailand in New York, along with Consul Katesuda Thongna, attended the "Gathering of Thais Overseas to Help Flood-Hit Areas in Chiang Rai" event, organized by the Northern Thai Association of New York at Little Thailand Way. The event featured vibrant performances by the musical group ‘Bangkok Sam Cha’ and traditional dances by the Anurak Thai Dance Association of New York. A number of Thais residing in New York and nearby areas also participated in the activity to raise support for this cause.
During the event, the Consul General, on behalf of the Consulate General and Thai agencies in Team Thailand in New York, presented contributions to the Association to support those affected by the floods in northern Thailand.
The Consulate General wishes to commend the Association for organizing this meaningful charity event, which impressively highlighted the strength, unity, and unwavering support of the Thai diaspora for their homeland and fellow Thais in need.
