On November 1, 2025, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in New York attended the 7th Day Memorial Ceremony commemorating the passing of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, held at Maha Vajiralongkorn Building, Wat Nawamintararachutis, Massachusetts.

 

The ceremony was presided over by His Holiness Somdet Phra Maha Thirachan, Member of the Supreme Sangha Council, Chief Monk of the Northern Region, Abbot of Wat Phra Chetuphon Vimolmangklararm (Wat Pho), and President of the Board of Directors for the construction of Wat Nawamintararachutis. Ms. Somjai Taphaopong, Consul General of Thailand in New York, served as Chair of the Lay Committee.

 

The ceremony was attended by the Honorary Consul General of Thailand in Boston, Deputy Honorary Consul, together with Buddhists and members of the Thai community in Boston and neighboring states, who came together to pay tribute and express their profound reverence and remembrance of Her Majesty’s boundless benevolence.
