     The Royal Thai Consulate General in New York recently provided a Mobile Consular Service at Wat Nawamintarachutis, Raynham Massachusetts from February 26-28, 2026. The event was organized to extend consular services, passport renewal, civil registration, and notarial services, to Thai nationals residing in Massachusetts and nearby states under of consulate’s jurisdiction. The consular team also provided information and answered questions about consular matters. The mobile consular service was well received by the Thai community, with approximate 130 people attending throughout the days.
 
     On this occasion, Ms. Somjai Taphaophong, Consul General in New York, met with members of the Thai community who came to receive consular services. She also paid a courtesy call to the Acting Abbot of Wat Nawamintraratutit to inquire about the wellbeing of the temple community following the recent snowstorm, as well as preparations for various activities to be held in 2026.
 
     In addition, the Consul General, together with Consul Ms. Thamachit Thitimontree and the consular team, held discussions with Honorary Consuls, who are Thai nationals residing in the states of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine, to provide guidance on supporting the consular mission of the Royal Thai Consulate-General. The discussions also covered public outreach regarding the registration of Thai nationals abroad, as well as an exchange of information and views on related matters.
