On 9 February 2023, Consul General Fabio Chinda signed a book of condolences regarding the devastating earthquake in Türkiye on 6 February 2023, at the Consulate General of the Republic of Türkiye in New York.

The Royal Thai Government has delivered an initial humanitarian contribution of 5,000,000 Thai Baht to the Government of Türkiye, and will promptly provide further assistance to support the Turkish relief efforts.
