On 22 August 2022, Consul General Fabio Chinda, Deputy Consul General Jiraporn, and Consul Athikom welcomed the senior monk and members of Vajiradhammapadip Temple Committee, along with the supervisor and volunteer teachers under the Thai language teaching project by Faculty of Education of Chulalongkorn University.
The four volunteers who are full-time teachers in Thailand have joined the project to teach Thai language, Thai music, and Thai classical dance to Thai kids and youths residing in New York at both premises of Vajiradhammapadip Temple (Long Island and Mt. Vernon) during the 3-month Summer break. Apart from their teaching routine, they were also very helpful in other temple activities, thus receiving a lot of praise from the Thai community.
The Royal Thai Consulate-General wishes to express our admiration to the Temple and everyone involved in such a meaningful project that demonstrates the harmony and the generoisty of Thai people regardless of where they are.
