On 23 June 2022, Consul General Fabio Chinda and Mrs. Maneevarong Chinda, his spouse, along with Deputy Consul General Jiraporn and Consul Athikom visited May Kaidee, a unique Thai restaurant in Manhattan, with a warm welcome by May or Ms. Sommai Jaijong, the owner.

May Kaidee offers a variety of Thai vegan/plant-based recipes. Following its success of the first two original branches in Bangkok and Chiangmai in Thailand, the restaurant in New York City extends its services to covering event catering and cooking courses as wellness. Moreover, May also wrote her own cookbook for those interested to make their own vegan/plant-based dishes, which has become more popular among the US’ consumers nowadays.
