On January 9, 2024, Consul General Somjai Taphaopong, together with Consul Athikom Daengpun, attended related events of the Pennsylvania Farm Show in Harrisburg. The event was co-organized by Pennsylvania's organizations, namely the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Community and Economic Development, and the Team Pennsylvania.

The Pennsylvania Farm Show is an annual event held in Pennsylvania, a state that generates billions of dollars annually from its large-scale agricultural industry. The event features participation from state agencies, private sector, business organizations, and academic institutions, showcasing knowledge, best practices, innovations, products, and various agricultural samples.

On this occasion, the Consul General had the opportunity to meet Mr. Russell Redding, the Pennsylvania Secretary of Agriculture, and to strengthen relationships with consular members of the Consular Corps Association Philadelphia (CCAP), as well as the executives of the CCAP, who participated in the event. This was considered a valuable opportunity to build networks in the agricultural field both economically and academically with relevant agencies and to seek further cooperation in the future.
