Attendance at the Certificate Presentation Ceremony for Students of the Thai Cultural Center of New York and the Thai Cultural Day Event

On June 14, 2026, the Thai Cultural Center of New York held a certificate presentation ceremony for its graduating students of the 2026 academic year, alongside the celebration of Thai Cultural Day. The event was presided over by Mrs. Sujittra Paleewong, President of the Thai Cultural Center of New York. In her opening remarks, Mrs. Sujittra Paleewong welcomed and invited the Consul-General to deliver a remark to the students and present the certificates to the 2026 graduates. This was followed by cultural performances and demonstrations of Thai language proficiency by this year's graduating class. Additionally, Mrs. Sujittra Paleewong awarded scholarships to former students of the center who have demonstrated academic excellence and dedicated their time to supporting the center's activities, in order to fund their ongoing undergraduate studies.

On this occasion, the Consul-General extended her congratulations and appreciation to the Thai Cultural Center of New York for its continuous operations and outstanding success. This achievement is driven by the leadership of Mrs. Sujittra Paleewong, President of the Thai Cultural Center; Mr. Pairote Paksasin, Vice President; the executive committee, teachers, and all parents who recognize the importance of this mission and have dedicated their efforts to providing Thai youth abroad with the opportunity to learn the Thai language, culture, and beautiful traditions of Thailand. The Royal Thai Consulate-General has consistently supported the center's activities, reinforcing its vital role in preserving, maintaining, and promoting the Thai language and culture for future generations.

The Thai Cultural Center of New York has been operating since 1986, marking nearly 40 years of service under the leadership of Mrs. Sujittra Paleewong as President. Currently, the center features 10 volunteer teachers, with Ms. Supadee Vutrapongvatana serving as the Principal. For the 2026 academic year, the center has a enrollment of 50 children and 8 adults, as well as 9 students specializing in traditional Thai performing arts.
