The Merit-Making Ceremony in dedication to Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati Krom Luang Ratchasarinee Siripatchara Maha Vajra Rajadhida

On 26 June 2026, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in New York, in collaboration with New York Dhammaram Temple, organized a 15- day merit-making ceremony in dedication to Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati Krom Luang Ratchasarinee Siripatchara Maha Vajra Rajadhida at New York Dhammaram Temple.

The ceremony was presided over by Miss Somjai Taphaopong, Consul-General of Thailand to New York, as the lay chairperson. The event was attended by approximately 40 participants, including officials and staff from the Royal Thai Consulate-General, Team Thailand agencies, and members of the local Thai community.

During the ceremony, the Consul-General lit the incense and candles to pay homage to the Triple Gem, lit the ceremonial gold and silver sets (Khrueang Thong Noi), and offered Robes for the Deceased (Pha Trai Bangsukun), food, monastic offerings (Sanghadana) to Buddhist monks who chanted prayers to dedicate merit to the late Princess. Furthermore, the Consul-General delivered a remarks expressing deepest condolences and led all attendees in observing 47 seconds of silence in remembrance of Her Royal Highness.

Additionally, the Royal Thai Consulate-General provided a book of condolences for the attendees to sign, allowing them to express their profound grief, loyalty, and deep gratitude for Her Royal Highness’s benevolent contribution.
