Our Mission

The Royal Thai Consulate General in New York has two main missions:

1. The Consulate works closely with Team Thailand agencies in New York City, comprising of Thai Trade Center, Thailand Board of Investment Office, Tourism Authority of Thailand Office, and Bank of Thailand Representative Office, to promote cooperation between Thailand and the United States in areas such as economy, trade, investment, culture, tourism, including people-to-people contact, with a view to achieving the goals set in the 20-Year Foreign Affairs Masterplan (2018-2037) built upon five key strategic priorities (5S) : Security, Sustainability, Standard, Status, and Synergy.
   
   
2. The Consulate provides consular services to residents of 10 states in the consular jurisdiction: New York, Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont. The services include (1) the application for Thai passport, the issuance of Thai national ID card, the Thai civil and family registration, the legalization and the protection and support for Thai community and (2) the issuance of e-visa for foreign passport holders wishing to travel to Thailand.
