"Volunteer Activity Commemorating the Auspicious Occasion of the 4th Cycle Birthday Anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana, 3 June 2026"

On 18 June 2026, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in New York organized a volunteer activity to honor Her Majesty the Queen on the auspicious occasion of Her Majesty’s 4th Cycle Birthday Anniversary on 3 June 2026. Miss. Somjai Taphaopong, Consul-General of Thailand to New York, led the officials and staff from the Consulate-General and Team Thailand agencies in New York to donate essential supplies to Women In Need (WIN), an organization dedicated to helping the underprivileged in New York City.

Women In Need (WIN) is a non-profit organization that supports homeless families, with a specific focus on women and children. The organization provides emergency shelters for homeless families in New York City, professional skills training, job placement assistance, childcare and education services, as well as mental health rehabilitation for children. These efforts empower women and their families to reintegrate into society with stability and sustainability, driven by WIN’s inspiring vision, "The Way Out."

This volunteer activity was organized not only to pay tribute to Her Majesty the Queen, but also to provide an opportunity to raise awareness about Thailand and foster meaningful engagement between the officials of the Royal Thai Consulate-General and Team Thailand, and local organizations in the United States—particularly in New York City. By supporting women's empowerment and prioritizing youth development, this initiative highlights the constructive role of the Consulate-General and Team Thailand in fostering social harmony and mutual support for the collective benefit of society and humanity.
