On 6-7 May 2023, the Royal Thai Consulate-General, in cooperation with the Consulate General of Malaysia, the Consulate General of Indonesia, the Consulate General of the Philippines, and Asian American Activity Center, Inc. organized ‘The Charm of Asia: May Extravaganza New York 2023’ at Tangram Mall in Flushing, New York.

The event highlighted the Asian American communities in New York City on the occasion of the Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month through the presentation of the beauty of cultural diversity. It also was co-sponsored by NYC Senator John C. Liu and Assemblyman Ron Kim, NYC Council Woman Sandra Ung, NYC Queens Borough President Donovan Richards Jr., and United Nations Global Peace Development Foundation

For the Thai Community participation, the Royal Thai Consulate General forged cooperation with the Tourism Authority of Thailand Office, and two Thai food restaurants, May Kaidee and Betong-Khao Man GAI, in displaying Thailand through a variety of beautiful and delicious Thai cuisine and spectacular cultural performances on stage.
