Participated in ASEAN Family Day 2026

 

     The Royal Thai Consulate General and the Permanent Mission of Thailand to the United Nations in New York joined ASEAN Family Day 2026 at Vajiradhammapadip Temple, Long Island, New York. H.E. Mr. Cherdchai Chaivaivid, Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the UN, together with Consul General Miss Somjai Taphaopong, as well as officers and staff from both offices, attended the event to celebrate ASEAN Day on August 8.

 

     This year, around 300 participants from 10 countries, including Timor-Leste as ASEAN's newest member, joined the event alongside United Nations Permanent Missions in New York of other ASEAN countries and Consulates. Coordinated by the Philippines as ASEAN Chair, the gathering featured sports and games, as well as food and beverage booths showcasing authentic flavors from each nation.
