On September 6, 2023, Consul General Somjai Taphaopong met with Ms. Achara and Mr. Chetta Supavarasuwat, executives of Buono (Thailand) PCL, a Thai plant-based food manufacturer and exporter who exports products to leading supermarket chains across the U.S. They are now visiting New York City to attend a plant-based expo and showcase their new products under the brand 'Green & Sunny.'

     In recent years, the consumption of plant-based food in the U.S. has significantly expanded, resulting in a growing market share. Thai food businesses can also adapt their business models and develop innovative products that can be well-received by global consumers as well as heralding a trendy image of Thai cuisine.
