On June 2, 2024, Ms. Somjai Taphaopong Consul General in New York participated in the parade commemorating the 126th anniversary of the Philippine Independence on Madison Avenue in New York City, alongside consuls general and consuls from other ASEAN countries, including the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore. Together with congratulating the Filipino community on this occasion, this collaborative effort aimed to represent the ASEAN Community's presence in New York City.
