On 12 February 2026, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in New York hosted a luncheon and presented certificates of appreciation at the Consul General’s Residence in New York to express its sincere gratitude to members of the Thai community and Thai private-sector entrepreneurs in New York who generously supported the organization of the celebration of the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, National Day, and Father’s Day, 5 December 2025. The commemorative event had previously been held on 30 November 2025.

     On this occasion, Ms. Somjai Taphaopong, Consul General of Thailand in New York, conveyed her appreciation and commendation to the supporters, including Ms. Suchitra Paleewong, President of the Thai Cultural Center of New York; Mr. Pairoj Pugsasin, Vice President; and Ms. Sriwanna Chaiwirat, member of the Center’s Board, for their generous support in providing the venue, equipment, and personnel for event preparations.

     Appreciation was further conveyed to private-sector supporters, including Bangkok Bank, New York Branch, as well as Thai Select–certified Thai restaurants in New York — Kamrai Thai, Im Khao Man Gai, Kati Thai Noodle & Rice, Samyan, and La Dong — for contributing authentic Thai cuisine to the event.
