On 10 May 2022, Consul General Fabio Chinda welcomed Mr. Somsak Suwansujarit, Chief Ombudsman of Thailand, and his delegation from the Office of the Ombudsman of Thailand, during their visit to NYC to attend the meeting of the Board of Directors of the International Ombudsman Institute (IOI). On this occasion, Consul General gave a briefing to the delegation on the Consulate’s mission in promoting well-being of the Thai community and providing consular services to Thai nationals within its jurisdiction. Both also took this opportunity to discuss prospects of further enhancing the consular services and the Thai popularity overseas.
