On 17 April 2022, Consul General Fabio Chinda along with Mrs. Maneevarong, his spouse, and Consul Phawinee Chansamran participated in Songkran Day (Thai New Year) at Vajiradhammapadip Temple, Long Island, NYC. The event was hosted by the Northern Thai Association New York.

On this occasion, Consul General Fabio joined the Thai community in merit-making and offering food to the Buddhist monks, as well as enjoying the cultural performances from Anurak Thai Dance Association and a variety of merchandise from the local communities.
