On 21 February 2022, Consul General Fabio Chinda addressed his statement in Thai to celebrate the International Mother Language Day, together with other Consuls General in New York who also celebrated the Day in their own mother language. The virtual event was organized by the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh in New York via its Facebook Live.

The United Nations recognizes the 21st of February of ever year as the International Mother Language Day in order to promote the importance of linguistic and cultural diversity, thus fostering respect for differences and peaceful coexistence.
