On September 7, 2025, Ms. Somjai Taepapong, Consul-General in New York, attended the ceremony to offer homage to Phrakhru Phawanathamwithet Wi. (Chaiwat Apiwatthano), Abbot of New York Dhammaram Temple, and Phrakhru Phisanworakit (Peerabun Nathapunyo) at New York Dhammaram Temple. Consul-General was honored to read the royal letter of appointment and certificate of appointment of the Phrakhru Thananukrom.

     On this occasion, the Consul-General participated in the Buddhist chanting ceremony, offered lunch to the monks, Consul-General also participated in the monthly Kathina robe offering ceremony of September 2025 organized by the temple with approximately 150 Thai people and 28 Monks attending the event.
