On April 27, 2025, Mr. Khanthong Nuanual, Deputy Consul General, on behalf of Ms. Somjai Taphaopong, Consul General of Thailand in New York, delivered opening remarks at the 21st Vajira Concert: SCENT “South, Central, East, North Thailand” at Vajiradhammapadip Temple in Long Island, New York. The event was well attended by a large number of local community members and representatives from Thai government agencies in New York City.
The Vajira Concert is part of Vajiradhammapadip Temple - Sunday Buddhist School’s extracurricular activities, providing platforms for volunteer teachers and students to practice and showcase their cultural performances, including Thai musical instruments and Thai traditional dances. This event, under the supervision of Ms. Supa Hilany, presented Thai ways of life from the 4 regions of Thailand in both elegant and cheerful aspects. The outpouring of support from the Thai community also enhanced the positive vibe of the event.
