Attending the Signing Ceremony of the Memorandum of Agreement between Thailand Institute of Justice, Thai Bar and Cornell University, and the Commemorative Ceremony for Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati Krom Luang Ratchasarinee Siripatchara Maha Vajra Rajadhida

On September 1, 2026, Miss Somjai Taphaopong, Consul General of Thailand in New York accompanied by Miss Thammajit Thitimontre, consul attended the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Signing Ceremony between Thailand Institute of Justice (TIJ), Thai Bar and Cornell University at Myron Taylor Hall Cornell Law School, Cornell University.

The 5th MOA aims to further strengthen cooperation in legal study and grant scholarships for Thai legal professionals to pursue a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree at Cornell Law School, equipping them to return and contribute to the development of Thailand's judicial system and judiciary.

After the signing ceremony, Consul General and Miss Thammajit Thitimontre also participated in the Commemorative Ceremony, organized by Cornell Law School, for Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati Krom Luang Ratchasarinee Siripatchara Maha Vajra Rajadhida. Consul General delivered remarks tributed to Her Royal Highness’s gracious kindness and contribution to the development of the Rules of Law and Diplomacy along with Mr. Jens Ohlin and Professor Dr. Kittipong Kittayarak.

Afterward, the royal musical composition "Falling Rain" (Sai Fon), composed by His Majesty King Rama IX, was performed by Cornell University student. The event was attended by approximately 100 people, including participants from Thailand, faculty members, and staff of the Law School, Thai students at Cornell University.
