On September 23, 2023, Consul General Somjai Taphaopong presided over the 43rd Isan Ball, which was hosted by the Thai-Isan Association of New York at the Vajiradhammapadip Temple in Long Island, New York, in order to help strengthen the relationships within the Thai community in New York and support the Association’s activities that benefit society as a portion of this event's proceeds will be admirably allocated to charitable activities in Thailand. Consul Phawinee Chansamran, staff from the Royal Thai Consulate General, and representatives from other agencies were also present at the event.
